On April 11, the St. Bonaventure men’s lacrosse team hosted No. 4 Richmond University.

The Spiders took down the Bonnies 23-7 to remain unbeaten in Atlantic 10 play and keep Bonaventure winless in the conference. The Bonnies (4-8, 0-4 A-10) were led by sophomore attacker Cole Kucinski, who scored three goals, improving his team-high mark to 28 on the season. Sophomore goalie Isaac Farmer tied his season high with 16 saves for the Bonnies facing a total of 54 shots, 36 on goal.

The Spiders (10-1, 4-0 A-10) were led by junior attacker Lucas Littlejohn’s four goals. Littlejohn is considered a top prospect heading into the 2027 National Lacrosse League entry draft. Two of his teammates, senior defenseman Hunter Smith and senior defensive midfielder Jack Pilling were both on Adam Lamberti’s list of the top 50 players heading into the 2026 Premier Lacrosse League draft, at 15 and 24 respectively.

Bonnies redshirt junior defenseman Owen Tasse was also listed as a top 10 prospect heading into the 2026 NLL draft by Inside Lacrosse. Tasse has already set career highs in caused turnovers and ground ball recoveries this season with 28 and 46.

Richmond, a No. 1 ranked team earlier in the season, had the opportunity to visit Bonaventure as the number one ranked team but fell to former No. 4 Notre Dame on April 4.

This season marked the first in program history without former head coach Randy Mearns. First-year Division I head coach Brendan Storrier joined the Bonnies following an eight-season stint as head coach at Limestone University in South Carolina. There, Storrier led the Saints to a 66-13 record and qualified for four consecutive NCAA tournaments, including two Division II semifinals.

The Bonnies’ season started hot, posting a 4-4 non-conference record including a victory over Robert Morris University (now 10-3) by a score of 14-11 on Feb. 17. The Bonnies have yet to win a game in A-10 play this season, and with two games left, Bonaventure approaches what would be the third time in four years that the team fails to pick up a conference win.

The Bonnies head to Delaware University to take on the Fightin’ Blue Hens on April 18. The matchup will air live on ESPN+ at 1 p.m.

Following their matchup in Delaware, the Bonnies return home to host A-10 rival Hobart on April 24 for senior night. The matchup is set to start at 7 p.m. at the Marra Athletic Complex and can be streamed on ESPN+.
