The St. Bonaventure University women’s basketball team, which won on a go-ahead field goal over Duquesne on Saturday, travels to face Richmond on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Robins Center.
Graduate guard Laycee Drake’s jumper with four seconds left in overtime sealed Saturday’s win for the Bonnies (13-11, 4-8 A-10), who have won back-to-back games.
The Spiders (20-4, 10-1 A-10) defeated the Bonnies 80-60 on Jan. 3, and senior forward Maggie Doogan scored 18 points for Richmond. They lead the all-time series 19-7.
Bonaventure ranks fifth in the Atlantic 10 in field goal percentage and opponent field goal percentage, shooting 42.1% from the field and holding opponents to 38.6%.
Drake leads the Bonnies with 15.1 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.
Following a 71-57 win over George Mason, the Spiders have won nine straight.
Richmond leads the conference in scoring, team field goal percentage and team 3-point field goal percentage. They average 75.6 points per game, shoot 46.9% from the field and 37.7% from 3-point range.
Doogan, the reigning Atlantic 10 Player of the Year, leads the conference with 22.3 points per game.
