Bronx, N.Y. — The St. Bonaventure University women’s soccer team visits Atlantic 10 Conference-rival Fordham University Thursday at Moglia Stadium.

The Bonnies (2-2-5 overall, 1-0-1 A-10) will face a Rams (3-4-2 overall, 1-0-1 A-10) roster that includes A-10 Rookie Of The Week and freshman midfielder Lena Johnsen and Caroline Monahan, a fifth-year forward who has a team-high 3 goals this season.

“It’s a fortress for them,” said Bonaventure head coach Donny George. “We are gonna try to impose our style early and get control of the game.”

George said his team likes to control the pace of their games. Despite being outscored (9-11) and outshot (63-136) by their opponents this year, Bonaventure’s defense has led them to fourth in the A-10 standings.

The Bonnies’ 6-foot goalkeeper, Chiara Gottinger, took home A-10 Defensive Player Of The Week honors after posting back-to-back shutouts against A-10 foes Dayton and Davidson.

The Rams rank in the top third of the A-10 in shots on goal. George said he expects the Rams to continually apply pressure to Bonaventure throughout the match by taking many shots.

Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m., and the match will be streamed live on ESPN+. No ticket purchase is necessary to attend.
