There have been some big releases in the music industry and more big albums are expected to be released soon.

“My Universe” by Coldplay and BTS is standing at the top of Billboard’s “The Hot 100” chart. “Stay” by The Kid Laroi ft. Justin Bieber is number two. Lil Nas X’s “INDUSTRY BABY” ft. Jack Harlow is number three on the chart followed by Drake’s “Way 2 Sexy” ft Future and Young Thug at number four. “Fancy Like” by Walker Hayes is number five.

Lil Nas X released his debut studio album, “MONTERO,” on Sept. 17. The album and title track are named after the singer’s first name. Three songs from the new album are on “The Hot 100” list. “INDUSTRY BABY” ft Jack Harlow is number three, “MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)” is number 13, “THATS WHAT I WANT” is number 24.

Kanye West’s tenth studio album, “Donda,” was released on Aug. 29. The album is named after his late mother, Donda West, who died in 2007 after complications from a cosmetic procedure. West had a listening party for his album release at Soldier Field in Chicago on Aug 26. Some hit songs from the 27 track album are “Off the Grid ‘’ ft Playboi Carti and Fivio Foreign, “Hurricane ‘’ ft Lil Baby and The Weeknd and “Pure Souls’ ‘ ft Roddy Ricch and Shenseea.

Drake dropped his sixth studio album, “Certified Lover Boy,” on Sept. 3, less than a week after “Donda” was released. This may have caused some tension between the two rappers, who already have a rocky relationship and rivalry as it is. Kanye and Drake did seem to have some tension on social media leading up to the week of their releases. Three popular songs from the 21 track “Certified Lover Boy” are “Knife Talk” ft 21 Savage and Project Pat, “IMY2” ft Kid Cudi and “Champagne Poetry.”

The highly anticipated “Red (Taylor’s Version)” is Swift’s re-recording of her fourth studio album, “Red,” which she no longer owns the rights to. The original release date was set for Nov. 19, but now the date has been pushed to Nov. 12. On Sept. 30, Swift tweeted “Got some news that I think you’re gonna like – My version of Red will be out a week earlier than scheduled (including the 4 disc vinyl) on November 12th! Can’t wait to celebrate the 13th with you and our new/old autumn heartbreak album.” Some people are guessing the date change is to avoid conflict with a predicted Adele drop.

Many Adele fans are speculating that the singer is releasing a new album soon. Billboards have been seen across the world with 30s on them. Adele’s albums “19,” “21” and “25” are named after the age that she was when she wrote and recorded them. The billboards could signal the upcoming release of Adele’s fourth studio album. Adele revealed on Twitter and Instagram that her new song, “Easy On Me” will be released on Oct 15.

A few new rap albums were freshly released. YoungBoy Never Broke Again dropped his new album, “Sincerely, Kentrell >” on Sept. 24. Meek Mill released “Expensive Pain” on Oct 1. Lil Wayne and Rich The Kid also released their joint album “Trust Fund Babies” on Oct 1.
Music fans have a lot of new music to listen to right now. People should get excited for even more albums that are set to be released this fall.
