One of the many things St. Bonaventure University has to offer is a variety of food services. Whether you want a sub at the RC Café or a smoothie at Freshens, Bonaventure has it covered, providing at least six on-campus options.

My friend, Blair Baptiste, a sophomore strategic communication major, likes ordering a maui mango smoothie with a chicken caprese sandwich saying, “I love their smoothies and eat there [Freshens] at least four times a week.” Other delicious items are their strawberry smoothie and the power protein grain bowl. But if a strawberry smoothie and power protein grain bowl isn’t cutting it, you can take a walk over to the RC café.

Jamie Bradford, a sophomore and psychology major, orders at the RC Café and says, “The french fries are delicious,” and would order them constantly if she had unlimited flex dollars.

The RC Café offers wraps, subs, hamburgers, muffins, coffee and slushies daily while also doubling as a shop providing individuals with packaged snacks, drinks, frozen meals and cleaning supplies.
The Wolf Den is another popular food service known for serving breakfast throughout the day and is Campbell Dougherty’s favorite place to stop.

Dougherty, a junior education major, orders the cinnamon bread toast, saying, “I think it’s great [toast]; it’s one of the best things ever.” Other good items are their breakfast sandwiches and hash browns, which come with a choice of gravy. If the Hickey is no longer serving breakfast, the Wolf Den can be a wonderful alternative operating Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Fridays 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Additional services are Café La Verna, the on-campus Starbucks, which is a great place to study, catch up with friends and de-stress. Or, just a hop, skip and jump away is the snack station in Friedsam Memorial Library where you can get a bite to eat if you’re working late.

Some might say the Rathskeller has the best food on campus. However, it’s left off this list because of its limited meal swipe hours, which operate from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. every day except on game days.

All of these services have one thing in common: bringing good people together to connect and unwind.

Some of the best memories are made surrounded by great people and great food.
