Women’s soccer remains unbeaten in A-10 play, bests Fordham

Bronx, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure women’s soccer remained unbeaten in Atlantic 10 Conference play Thursday, besting the Fordham Rams 3-1 at Moglia stadium.

The win boosted the Bonnies to 3-2-5 overall (2-0-1 A-10) and dropped the Rams to 3-5-2 overall (1-1-1 A-10).

Bonaventure forward Ami Komori had a hat trick, scoring once in the 15th minute, assisted by forward McKenna Robinson, once in the 53rd minute, assisted by forward Olivia Allen, and lastly in the 70th minute assisted by defender Bridget Kennedy.

Rams forward Cianna Elmazaj evened up the scoring at one in the 42nd minute on a goal assisted by forward Marie Degroote.

Originally a back-and-forth affair going into the break with an even score of 1-1, Bonaventure scored 2 unanswered goals in the second half to seal the game.

Next, the Rams continue their home stint against Ivy League opponent Yale (4-1-2 overall, 3-1 Ivy League) on Monday at 7 p.m. The Bonnies face more A-10 competition as they return home to play Duquesne (3-5-2 overall, 0-0-2 A-10) on Sunday at 1 p.m.
