Law enforcement launched an investigation after a St. Bonaventure University student made a threat.
Students on a residence hall floor received a disturbing email, according to the Office of Student Affairs.
They informed student life staff and campus security officers, who then contacted The New York State Police.
According to the campus notice board, law enforcement spoke to the student who sent the email. The unnamed student characterized the email as a hoax.
“This is a reminder to the campus community that making threats of any kind, even if the intention isn’t serious, will absolutely be taken seriously and are subject to external and internal judicial discipline,” the release said.
The Bona Venture will update this story with more information as it becomes available.
