Women’s soccer falls to Wright State

The St. Bonaventure women’s soccer team remained winless yesterday, falling to the Wright State Raiders 3-0.

The Raiders put the pressure on early. The first goal of the game was scored by Sarah Colvin of the Raiders in the 11th minute. In the 38th minute, a header was scored by Brittney Petrosky, assisted by Monica Hennen.

In the second half, the Bonnies took their foot off the gas, allowing 14 shots to Wright State. This allowed the Raiders to score an insurance goal in the 82nd minute by Jordyne Helinski. The Bonnies finished with a total of nine shots on goal.

Sophomore Lauren Malcolm collected seven saves for the Bonnies during Thursday’s match.

This loss puts the women at 0-5 this season in out-of-conference play. The Brown and White have been outscored 12 goals to one.

The Bonnies will next take the field at home, Thursday Sept. 7 against University of Massachusetts Lowell at 4:00 p.m.
