This editorial represents the opinion of The Bona Venture staff. The number 44 means something special to Bonnies, but the Bonnie who made that number meaningful is even more special to our campus community. On Saturday, Andrew Nicholson’s jersey will be retired before the final men’s basketball home game of the regular season. Nicholson will,… Keep Reading
“I’m diagnosing myself with a serious case of Senioritis! I want to enjoy my last few weeks at Bona’s, but lately I’m just not motivated. What can I do to avoid feeling like this?” ________ Your time in the Bona Bubble may be drawing to a close, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t enjoy the… Keep Reading
In regards to an opinion piece, titled “Unapologetic WolfPack,” published online on Feb. 6, 2014. As I was the focus of this exercise in opinionated homerism, allow me an opportunity to defend myself, given that Mr. Laurrie went so far as to question my ability to uphold journalistic integrity over a series of Tweets he’s… Keep Reading
Even numbers not always the best option for dorm life Many things come in even numbers. Noah packed his ark with animals paired by twos. Cars have four wheels. Eggs are packed by the dozen. However, this is not ideal for Bonaventure’s housing options. Adding more variety to the housing options would reduce pre-housing application… Keep Reading
NFL linebacker rewards students who offer time, not money This past weekend, Buffalo Bills player Arthur Moats made the trip to campus to talk to members of the St. Bonaventure community. This was all the result of volunteering, or at least the pledge to do so. In partnership with The United Way and VolunTeen Nation,… Keep Reading
Temperatures fell to a low of minus eight degrees Fahrenheit on Saturday night as hundreds of alumni flocked back to campus to see old friends and meet new Bonnies. By Amelia Kibbe Features Assignment Editor St. Bonaventure is known for its small class sizes. One of the aspects the school considers most appealing is the student-to-professor ratio. Because of this, students need to participate more often in class. Many of the classes I currently take are largely discussion-based. Professors assign reading for homework and… Keep Reading

The St. Bonaventure student section, which placed fifth in the 2013 Naismith Student Section of the Year contest, has been under attack recently regarding its raucous conduct. By Hannah Gordon News Assignment Editor If you want someone to take your opinion seriously, the first thing you have to do is disregard all spelling and grammar rules. Next, forget what anyone told you about fact checking. No one cares if what you say is true or can be supported with real information. Oh,… Keep Reading
By Kerri Linsenbigler Associate Editor Excluding the townhouse parking lots, there are 214 available daytime parking spaces on St. Bonaventure’s campus. Of these, 163 are available for students. By Emma Zaremba Features Editor The list of activities for students on weekday afternoons and weekends is far from endless. Few opportunities are available on campus and the Bona Bus’ Walmart/Allegany route doesn’t satisfy boredom for long. It’s time for Bonaventure to spice up the nightlife for its students. The addition of a second Bona… Keep Reading
This editorial represents the opinion of The Bona Venture staff. As students, we should be constantly challenging the status quo when it comes to food options in the Hickey. The spring semester brought some delightful dairy changes to the dining hall, but it should only be the beginning of the upgrades. The biggest change came… Keep Reading

Emily Sullivan Associate Editor This past Tuesday, I had to leave my townhouse earlier than normal to get to a plenary for Clare Forum. Alexandra Salerno Advisory Editor A few months ago, I took a picture of a tree on campus, and it received more than 50 double taps. (That’s likes on Instagram for those who are bravely living without smartphones). Yet, as #instaworthy as I’m sure we all agree our beautiful school is, unfortunately, there isn’t a common… Keep Reading
