The St. Bonaventure University women’s basketball team hosts Fordham University for Senior Day in its regular-season finale on Saturday at 1 p.m. with a chance to clinch the 10th seed in the Atlantic 10 Tournament.
Bonaventure (15-14, 6-11 A-10) clinches the 10th seed with a win. A loss and a Saint Louis University victory at the University of Davidson on Saturday would drop the Bonnies to 11th place.
Teams that finish between the No. 5 and No. 10 seeds automatically advance to the second round of the A-10 tournament, which begins March 4.
The Rams (14-15, 6-10 A-10) defeated the Bonnies 66-53 at home on Jan. 18. Senior forward Emma Wilson-Saltos led the way for Fordham, recording 16 points and 16 rebounds. Junior guard Lakresha Edwards chipped in with 16 points.
Following a 61-47 loss to George Washington University, the Bonnies have dropped back-to-back games.
Bonaventure ranks sixth in the Atlantic 10 in field goal percentage and fifth in opponent field goal percentage, shooting 41.4% from the field and holding opponents to 38.8%.
Graduate guard Laycee Drake leads the Bonnies with 15 points, six rebounds and 2.5 assists per game.
Following a 58-49 loss to Davidson, the Rams have lost 14 out of their last 16 games.
Fordham ranks fifth in the Atlantic 10 in rebounding and third in steals, averaging 38 boards and 9.6 steals per game.
Senior guard Alexis Black leads the Rams in scoring, averaging 16.8 points per game.
