Bonnies Women’s Basketball Looks to Bounce Back Against George Mason

   The St. Bonaventure University women’s basketball team looks to bounce back from a 66-53 loss to Fordham University when it hosts George Mason University on Wednesday at the Reilly Center. 

   Coming off a 66-59 win over Saint Joseph’s University, George Mason (12-6, 7-0 A-10) remains unbeaten in the Atlantic 10. The Patriots lead the all-time series 9-7 and have won five straight over the Bonnies. 

   Bonaventure (12-7, 3-4 A-10) ranks fourth in the Atlantic 10 in scoring defense, holding opponents to 59.3 points per game.  

   Graduate guard Laycee Drake leads the Bonnies with 15.1 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game. 

   Last week, Bonaventure redshirt freshman forward Brianna Barr-Buday, averaging 5.2 points and 2.1 rebounds, earned GoBonnies.com Student-Athlete of the Week honors. 

   Redshirt junior forward Zahirah Walton leads the Patriots with 19.8 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game. 

   The game tips off at 6 p.m. and will air on ESPN+, the Bonnies Online Network, WESB Sports B107.5 FM and 1490 WESB-AM.
