The St. Bonaventure University women’s basketball team dropped its fourth conference game of the season, 66-53, to Fordham University Sunday at the Rose Hill Gymnasium in the Bronx, N.Y.
The Rams (9-9, 1-6 A-10) led the majority of the first half and led by as many as nine.
The Bonnies (12-7, 3-4 A-10) fought back with 9-0 run led by graduate guard Laycee Drake and redshirt freshman forward Brianna Barr-Buday to end the first half. They led 34-27 at halftime.
Bonaventure extended its lead by twelve in the third quarter. The Rams responded and pulled away with a 22-6 run to make the score 53-49. They would not trail again.
Rams senior forward Emma Wilson-Saltos recorded 16 points and 16 rebounds. Junior guard Lakresha Edwards chipped in with 16 points and four assists.
Graduate guard Aaliyah Parker led the Bonnies with 15 points, seven rebounds and three steals.
Bonaventure returns to action to host George Mason University (12-6, 7-0 A-10) on Wednesday, Jan. 21, at 6 p.m. The game will air on ESPN+, the Bonnies Online Network, WESB Sports B107.5 FM and 1490 WESB-AM.
