Bonnies Women’s Basketball Beats Saint Joseph’s, Off to Best A-10 Start in a Decade

   The St. Bonaventure University women’s basketball team (12-6, 3-3 A-10) won its third conference game of the season, 57-48, over Saint Joseph’s University (12-5, 3-3 A-10) Wednesday in the Reilly Center. 

   The 3-3 conference record marks the Bonnies’ best start since the 2015-16 season, when the team opened conference play 6-0 and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. 

   The Hawks entered the matchup on a nine-game win streak against the Bonnies. 

   Graduate guard Aaliyah Parker recorded her second double-double of the season. She led the Bonnies with 11 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and four steals. 

   Sophomore guard Rhian Stokes led the Hawks with 20 points, five rebounds and three steals. 

   Fordham University (8-9, 0-6 A-10) hosts Bonaventure Sunday, Jan. 18, at 2 p.m. at Rose Hill Gym. The game will air on ESPN+ and the Bonnies Online Network.
