Coming off its second conference win of the season, the St. Bonaventure University women’s basketball team (11-5, 2-2 A-10) travels to Kingston, R.I. to take on the University of Rhode Island (13-2, 4-0 A-10) Saturday at the Thomas M. Ryan Center.
The Rams enter the matchup on a seven-game win streak against the Bonnies. Bonaventure owns the all-time record, 33-27.
Graduate guards Laycee Drake and Aaliyah Parker headline Bonaventure’s players to watch. Drake leads the team, averaging 15.9 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.9 steals per game. Parker ranks second, averaging 13.1 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game.
The headliner for the Rams is senior guard Brooklyn Gray. She leads the team in scoring, averaging 13.2 points, and adds 4.8 rebounds per game.
The game tips off at 1 p.m. and will air on ESPN+ and the Bonnies Online Network.
