The St. Bonaventure University women’s basketball team won its second conference game of the season, 46-38, over Duquesne University Wednesday at the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse.
Bonaventure improved to 11-5 (2-2 A-10), while the Dukes fell to 7-8 (0-4 A-10).
The contest was a low-scoring affair, with the Dukes leading 22-15 to start the second half. Graduate guard Laycee Drake hit a 3-pointer to tie the game at 32 at the end of the third quarter. Bonaventure did not trail again, closing the game on a 14-6 run.
Graduate guard Aaliyah Parker led all scorers with 15 points and five rebounds for the Bonnies.
Freshman guard Alexis Bordas leads the Dukes with 11 points and three rebounds.
The University of Rhode Island (13-2, 4-0 A-10) hosts Bonaventure Saturday, Jan. 10, at 1 p.m. at the Thomas M. Ryan Center in Kingston, Rhode Island. The game will air on ESPN+ and the Bonnies Online Network.
