Coming off its second conference loss of the season, the St. Bonaventure University women’s basketball team travels to Pittsburgh to face Duquesne University Wednesday at the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse.
Bonaventure enters the matchup 1-2 in conference play and 10-5 overall with losses to St. Louis University and the University of Richmond and a win over George Washington University. In its last outing, a 20-point loss to Richmond, Bonaventure never led after the first quarter.
Duquesne enters the matchup 0-3 in conference play and 7-7 overall after a 68-61 loss to the University of Dayton. They have dropped games to Davidson College and St. Louis.
Graduate guard Laycee Drake leads the Bonnies in scoring, rebounding, assists and steals, averaging 16.4 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.9 steals per game. She ranks fourth in the Atlantic 10 in scoring and 10th in the conference in steals.
Freshman guard Alexis Bordas leads the Dukes, averaging 15.4 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game.
The game is scheduled to tip off at 6 p.m. and will air on ESPN+ and the Bonnies Online Network.
