The St. Bonaventure University women’s basketball team dropped its second conference game of the season, 80-60, to the University of Richmond at the Reilly Center Saturday afternoon.
Bonaventure fell to 10-5 (1-2 A-10), while the Spiders improved to 12-4 (2-1 A-10).
Both teams traded baskets to start the game, before Richmond grabbed a 13-11 lead following the first media timeout and did not trail again.
The Spiders led 38-30 at halftime and stretched the margin to 21 points in the third quarter, their largest lead of the game.
Senior forward Maggie Doogan led the Spiders with 18 points, seven rebounds and three assists.
Graduate guard Aaliyah Parker led the Bonnies with 18 points, six rebounds and five steals.
Duquesne University (7-7, 0-3 A-10) hosts Bonaventure Wednesday, Jan. 7, at 6 p.m. at the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse in Pittsburgh, Pa. The game will air on ESPN+ and the Bonnies Online Network.
