The St. Bonaventure University women’s basketball team dropped its final non-conference game 76-64 to Howard University at Burr Gymnasium Saturday afternoon.
Bonaventure fell to 9-4 on the season with the loss, while the Bison improved to 10-5.
Both teams traded baskets in the first half before the Bison used a 6-0 run to take a 38-32 lead at halftime.
Bonaventure opened the second half with a 17-2 run to take a 49-40 lead.
Howard used a commanding 28-6 run heading into the fourth quarter to take a 68-55 lead and pull away for good.
Graduate guard Aaliyah Parker led the Bonnies with 17 points and five rebounds.
Senior forward Zennia Thomas led the Bison with 22 points and eight rebounds.
Bonaventure hosts George Washington University (7-5), its second conference matchup of the season, Wednesday, Dec. 31, at 1 p.m. in the Reilly Center. The game will air on ESPN+ and the Bonnies Online Network.
