St. Bonaventure University’s women’s basketball team erased a 10-point second-half deficit in a 68-65 win against Binghamton University on Tuesday to improve to 3-0 on the season.
Trailing 40-30 in the third quarter, Bonaventure answered with a 15-4 run to take the lead.
Both teams traded leads throughout the fourth quarter. Tied at 65 with 30 seconds remaining, graduate student guards Aaliyah Parker and Laycee Drake sealed the win with a free throw and a layup, respectively.
Drake and graduate student forward Brillana Boyd led the Bonnies in scoring with 20 and 15 points, respectively.
Juniors Bella Pucci, a guard, and Kendall Bennett, a forward, led the Bearcats in scoring with 20 and 15 points respectively. Binghamton falls to 2-1 on the season.
Bonaventure hosts Little Three rival Canisius University (0-3) Friday, Nov. 19 at 6 p.m. in the Reilly Center. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ and the Bonnies Online Network.
