St. Bonaventure University’s women’s basketball team travels to Niagara University to face the Purple Eagles Friday at 6 p.m. in the Gallagher Center for its second game of the season.
Bonaventure enters the matchup 1-0 after an 82-34 win over Division II Mansfield University of Pennsylvania in Monday’s season opener at the Reilly Center.
Niagara opens its season on Friday. The Purple Eagles finished 3-25 last season.
Graduate guard Laycee Drake leads the Bonnies in scoring after recording 16 points, four rebounds and two assists against Mansfield.
Senior guard Talia Dial led Niagara with 26 points, one rebound, two assists and two steals in a 115–72 exhibition win over the State University of New York at Brockport.
