The St. Bonaventure University women’s basketball defeated Division II Daemen University 79-68 in an exhibition game Wednesday in the Reilly Center.
Tied at 68 with 2:10 left in regulation, sophomore guard Mackenzie Pettinelli’s corner three sparked an 11-0 run to close out the game. She finished with nine points, five rebounds and four assists.
Bonaventure graduate transfer guards Aaliyah Parker, who finished with 19 points, and Laycee Drake, who finished with 13 points, led the team in scoring. Both recorded five rebounds and three assists.
Sophomore forward Ne’vaeh Buntley led Daemen with 13 points, six rebounds and four assists.
Bonaventure opens its season Monday, Nov. 3 against Mansfield University of Pennsylvania at 6 p.m. in the Reilly Center. Admission is free, and the game will be streamed live on ESPN+ and broadcast live on the Bonnies Online Network.
