Community Bank staff will  begin work at the company’s new facility.

“We look forward to a bright future here and in all the markets we serve.”

Those are the words that Brian Donahue, Bonaventure alumnus and executive vice president and chief banking officer of Community Bank N.A. said about the opening. The site of the new building was formerly known as Bonaventure Square.

According to Donahue, the new bank facility will be a loans processing center, with branch locations in Allegany, Olean and Portville. Construction of the new facility is complete and staff will be relocating this weekend.

“As Community Bank continues to grow, we needed more space for current and future employees,” Donahue said. “Our staff is the key to Community Bank’s signature level of above-and-beyond customer service. The area around St. Bonaventure is an important region for us, and we’re glad to be growing and continuing to add value there.”

Community Bank System Inc. operates over 180 facilities across Upstate New York and northeastern Pennsylvania through its Community Bank N.A. branches. The company, headquartered in DeWitt, NY, is among the country’s 100 largest financial institutions. The company offers financial planning and wealth management services and operates a full-service insurance agency that tends to personal and business insurance needs.

Donahue expressed his excitement over the new site.

“A new facility is always exciting and offers an opportunity for increased exposure,” Donahue said. “We look forward to celebrating the grand opening with local officials and the wider community. Olean and Allegany are incredibly supportive areas, and we’re grateful to be part of this community.”

Bonaventure students and faculty can find additional information about the new facility and additional branch locations at www.communitybankna.com.

Donahue explained the new building is not a branch of the bank but rather a processing plant constructed because the company needed more space for staff. The office building is an expansion of the company’s presence in the school’s community.

The Bonaventure alumus said the investment in the new facility demonstrates Community Bank’s commitment to expanding its networks in the Olean, Allegany and St. Bonaventure communities. He hopes the employees enjoy the new location and looks to build upon the growth and influence of Community Bank.

Donahue said, “A new facility is always exciting and offers an opportunity for increased exposure. We look forward to celebrating the grand opening with local officials and the wider community. Olean and Allegany are incredibly supportive areas, and we’re grateful to be part of this community.”
