Bonnies love this: Applebee’s

in FEATURES by

I’m not sure what my attraction is to the Olean Applebee’s. It could be the low lighting that creates a soothing ambience or the 15 televisions that never fail to keep me entertained. Possibly it’s just the fact that it is one of the few places in Olean to eat. And I don’t mean that as a complaint. I love the half-priced appetizers.
The Olean Applebee’s is unavoidable for special occasions like birthdays or anniversaries. If you like fried cheese then you’re in luck because that is one of their main food groups. However, if you are looking for somewhere to sit and eat quickly, Applebee’s is not the place to dine on a weekend between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. Half the city is there, and the wait is unbearable. But true Bonnies are willing to stand in the crowded foyer of our most beloved restaurant for up to 45 minutes. Nothing can keep us from getting our boneless wings and Bahama Mamas.
Appropriate Applebee’s attire can be a confusing topic. You might ask yourself if it really is that important to change out of the sweatpants you’ve been wearing all day for your best friend’s birthday dinner. That’s a valid question, so let me lay out a few ground rules. Pajama pants are never okay. There is no exception to that rule, even if you say they’re cute. I can promise you that they’re not. Heels are not necessary at Applebee’s either. The only way to get around this rule is if it’s your birthday, because you can do whatever you want on your birthday. So, if you want a sassy yet classy way to wear your comfy pants to dinner, ladies, yoga pants are the way to go. The next time you head to the Bee’s save a seat for me, and always remember, go Bona’s.

XOXO, Your Queen Bonnie
