With another year and another apocalypse behind us, The Bona Venture staff hopes to move forward in 2013 and bring a fresh newspaper with us.

We hope to improve The Bona Venture as a legitimate campus newspaper. No story is unimportant. We know every person who sets foot on campus has a story to tell, whether he or she is a grad student, Division I athlete, biology major or undecided arts major, and we want to tell it. We plan to venture outside our comfort zones to find every story we can and show our audience everything going on at Bonaventure.

We also want you, our audience, to tell us what you want to see in the paper. If you have a friend working on an impressive research project or don’t like a campus policy, tell us. We will strive for more bylines and more voices.

We will also upgrade our look and online presence to match our ever-changing technologically dominant society. With our recently made-over layout, we’ll provide a visually stimulating, content-filled paper every week and a website to match. Our Facebook and Twitter accounts will be more than a medium to share our stories. They will also serve as a way to interact with our audience and provide up-to-the-minute news updates celebrating the always-busy Bonaventure campus.

Despite focusing on more stories and a new look, we want to remain, as always, an accurate, reliable and entertaining source of Bonaventure news and a voice for Bonnies, by Bonnies.

Sincerely,

Mary Best,
