Cassidy Nicholas’ security farewell

in NEWS by

To my brilliant, amazing, vibrant, and wonderful students: I felt compelled to send you all a simple thank you. Many of you know me, some of you do not. That being said, a simple thank you doesn’t even begin to show my deep gratitude.
My time at our university has fed my soul. So many of you have enriched my life with your cultures, friendships and irreplaceable personalities.
Some of you I may have met at your worst moments, or your best, but each and every one of you have stayed with me. Whether it’s discussing the temperature in your home town in India, pulling up a chair when you need to cry, or bringing you Thanksgiving dinner because you couldn’t go home for the holidays, you all, have made me a better person.
To my MERT students, who run at the ping of a pager when you have a final in the morning to aid another student, your selfless actions were not unnoticed.
For the rest of my life, I will be thankful to each and every one of you, for showing me that such smart and amazing individuals are educating themselves to bring a better brighter future to our world.
To our friars and nuns, your never-ending kindness to me will not be forgotten. Whether it’s a quip of humor on a horrible day, Fr. David’s famous cookies or the fabulous Dr. Paula always reminding me of the good I was doing when I needed to hear it… You all, have changed my life.
St. Bonaventure University is a special place, one that I will hold in my heart for the rest of my days.
As I say goodbye to St. Bonaventure University, I wish you all the power to be proud of who you are becoming, and may you go on to do great things and of course, I cannot forget… GO BONNIES!
