On Wednesday afternoon, St. Bonaventure University women’s lacrosse fell to Saint Joseph’s, 22-14. The game was postponed earlier in the month due to weather concerns.

The Bonnies (3-13, 1-7 A10) began the scoring with a goal from senior midfielder Scarlet Jaworski within the first three minutes. However, the goal was answered right away with a goal from Saint Joseph’s (10-6, 6-2 A10).

The two teams went on to swap goals until the game became tied 3-3 with 21:57 remaining in the first half. The Bonnies picked up goals from sophomore midfielder Rylee Arnold and senior midfielder Taylor Fallon.

Saint Joseph’s went on to score three more, giving the team four unanswered goals in a row. But, the Bonnies came back with two of their own, both unassisted goals from Fallon and Arnold.

Prior to halftime, Fallon scored two more times, giving her four goals on the game, though the Bonnies still trailed 10-7.

To open the second half, Fallon scored for the Bonnies yet again, her fifth of the game. The score sat at 10-8 with 28:29 left in regulation, but Saint Joseph’s scored two of their own to re-extend the lead.

Jaworski scored the next two Bonnies goals, but Saint Joseph’s kept pace by continuing to score, going up 19-10.

The Bonnies next goal came from freshman midfielder Kyra O’Gorman.

Junior attack Gabrielle Bradley assisted on the next two goals, which came from Jaworski and Fallon. O’Gorman added the final Bonnies goal, for her second.

Junior Morgan Conroy made 22 saves on 44 shots for the Bonnies, while senior Amelia Deibler made six saves on 20 shots for Saint Joseph’s.

However, the effort came up short and the Bonnies took the loss. The Bonnies will play their last game April 28 at home against La Salle University.
