Extend your summer style into fall by transforming everything from your basic leggings to floral dresses into creative and edgy fall ensembles.

Leggings

Leggings are the most versatile pieces of the summer and the most essential for your fall wardrobe. Aside from being worn as pants for both athletics and academics, you can get some extra wear out of your leggings by wearing them under your jeans as thermals. Or pair your leggings with a belted denim top or cardigan for a casual look.

Blazers

Create an interesting contrast to your typical blazer by pairing it with colorful jeans in burnt orange, plum and mustard yellow-–colors reminiscent of the fall leaves. Also, get creative by playing with checkered, leather and metallic fabric with features like fringe, spikes and tears.

High-waisted shorts

Dress up your favorite summer shorts by combining them with an array of formal styles. For example, pair your shorts with a classic cape, fur vest or a matching poncho.

Rompers

Turn a classic romper into a fall statement by pairing it with opaque tights, decorative leggings or a textured jacket. To add an additional spin on your ensemble, wear a T-shirt under your romper in a contrasting color and print. For example, pair a khaki romper with a mustard-yellow tee, a black romper with a striped tee or a strapless romper with a collared button-down.

Dresses

Give your favorite summer dress a whole new look by combining it with clever cover-ups. Wear an unbuttoned or tied tartan top, layered asymmetrical sweaters or a leather jacket over your dress to create a unique ensemble.
