The king of headlines, Rex Ryan, took a shot at Tom Brady’s embarrassing first pitch at Fenway Park earlier this week. Brady’s throw was blooper-reel worthy, as his pitch trickled to home plate while Ryan, who threw out the first pitch at the Buffalo Bisons game, indeed did cross the plate with no help from the grass.

“I think there’s an obvious thing that we should talk about first,” Ryan told reporters at an Orchard Park press conference. “My pitch actually made it to the plate. It was a little wide, but I understand somebody bounced it — I’m not sure who it was — but Tom needs to keep his elbow up a little bit more, I think.”

Brady may not be a Major League level pitcher, but perhaps Ryan should lay off the Anchor Bar’s wings before he critiques someone on athleticism again.

Bisons

After two attempts to play a doubleheader, the Bisons were finally able to take down the Pawtucket Red Sox on Wednesday, winning both games 2-0.

The doubleheader was originally scheduled for Monday, but the game was postponed due to rain. The Bisons finished Monday’s game on Tuesday, losing to the Red Sox 9-6. But the second game was later  cancelled due to a regional power outage, which affected the stadium’s scoreboard and lights. Contrary to popular belief, the four Bonnies in attendance did not cause the power outage.

Sabres

They finished last. Dead last. In the entire NHL.
