Fall in love with fashion

Hello everyone, and welcome to this week’s Fashion Focus. My woolies, knitted jumpers, boots and favorite beanie hat have been called upon this week to keep my toes warm and ears from freezing and

falling off (okay, a bit dramatic). I think it is fair to say fall is well and truly here. Many think of fall fashion as big, bulky and unflattering, but I don’t. I love putting together layers of different colors, prints

and textures. You can also very easily transform your summer wear to fall wear by adding knitwear

and an oversized coat. I had a good look around the shops (via the web) to find you what I think are must-haves for this fall. Have a look. I hope you love them as much as I do.

Wrap it up

1: ASOS: New Look Borg Lined Parka with Faux Fur Trim Hood $80.00

2: H&M: Maroon Studded Beanie Hat $9.95

3: ASOS: Maroon Knitted Snood $20.25

4: H&M: Grey Leather Sleeve Contrast Coat $59.95

5: Forever21: Standout Utility Jacket $44.80

A good coat is a fall must-have, as it will be a staple piece of your wardrobe. Not only will it keep you warm, but it can also transform any look and can be worn every day. Choose one that will compliment your wardrobe and be wearable with any outfit. Green is the color this fall, from deep green to army green. It is a very versatile color that will go with almost anything. Add dimension to your jackets with a chunky knit scarf or snood. These transform any coat, so if you don’t want to buy a new coat, buy a new scarf. Complete the look with a beanie. Not only will these keep your head warm or cover up a bad hair day, they also look super cute.

tight knit

1: H&M: Maroon & White contrast Polka Dot Scarf $19.95

2: H&M: Deep Green Knitted Jumper $17.95

3: H&M: Maroon Knitted Jumper $29.95

4: H&M: Cream Knitted Jumper $29.95

5: H&M: Cream Knitted Snood $14.95

6: H&M: Grey & Maroon Navajo Patterned Jumper $34.95

A fall classic is knitwear. Everybody needs an aran jumper of some sort in his or her wardrobe. I briefly mentioned transforming your summer favorites into fall wear: adding knitwear is the way to do it. You can take your favorite summer blouse and wear it under one of the above jumpers with a pair of leggings or jeans. The same can be done by layering up your pretty summer dress with a jumper and a scarf. I always wear a collared blouse under my jumpers, tucked into a skirt with tights, socks and boots. Creating layers gives the look texture and dimension and most importantly, keep you warm.
